During Steve's first year as a newspaper reporter, his editor decided Steve should also take photographs to accompany his articles. It wasn't long before Steve discovered taking photos was far more fun than writing stories. After burning through miles and miles of B&W film (this was a while ago), Steve eventually became a staff photographer at a larger paper. After logging more hours in the darkroom, Steve decided to pursue the glamorous life of a freelance photographer. Assignments around the country find Steve schlepping gear through airports and always returning rental cars with a full tank of gas. While glamour continues to elude Steve, the fun of photography hasn't.
